Veterans History Project
Since the founding of our nation, courageous men and women have risked their lives to ensure America’s safety and to protect our freedoms. The sacrifices made by veterans have helped form the fabric of American society. I believe these stories deserve to be heard, and this is why my office has conducted many interviews for submission to the Library of Congress through the Veterans History Project (VHP). In order to make sure each veterans story is preserved for future generations, my office conducts interviews and collects any memorabilia from veterans who would like to make a submission to the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project. The VHP collects veterans’ personal accounts and makes the accounts accessible to the public so that future generations may hear veterans’ stories and sacrifices first-hand. If you are interested in sharing your story, please contact my Bakersfield office at (661) 327-3611 to schedule an appointment. To find additional information on the VHP, please visit the Library of Congress’ website at http://www.loc.gov/vets/vets-home.html.
