Congressman Kevin McCarthy announced the Department of Transportation awarded Meadows Field Airport a grant for phase two of the Runway Rehabilitation Project. The grant, which McCarthy strongly supported, will support the Runway Rehabilitation Project, a three-phased project totaling $49 million that will upgrade our airport runway to accommodate air traffic in and out of Bakersfield and the Central Valley.
