Today, Congressman Kevin McCarthy responded to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s latest actions to ban new hydraulic fracturing by 2024 and phase out oil and gas extraction by 2045 in the State.

I wanted to take a moment to highlight two opportunities for current high school students living in California’s 23rd Congressional District: service academy nominations (due Wednesday October 20, 2021) and the Annual Congressional Art Competition (due THIS Friday, April 23, 2021).
This week, Congressman Kevin McCarthy, along with House Veterans Affairs Committee Ranking Member Mike Bost, the Republican California Congressional Delegation, and Members of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs (HVAC), led the fight to ensure that California’s veterans have access to critical and lifesaving telemedicine.
