McCarthy Response to Defense Secretary Panetta's Budget Outline

Washington D.C. – Congressman Kevin McCarthy today issued the following statement after Defense Secretary Leon Panetta outlined defense budget priorities:

"Our reserve forces have gone above and beyond the call of duty over the past decade in fighting the Global War on Terror, and deserve to be recognized as the Pentagon prioritizes its budget. After September 11th, Camp Roberts and Camp San Luis Obispo have played an integral role in the mobilization of our reserve forces through their facilities, ranges and training areas. I will fight to ensure that these two installations can continue the good work of readying our citizen-soldiers so that they are prepared to defend our country today and in the future."
