McCarthy Launches iPhone App to Expand Constituent Access

December 2, 2010

Washington D.C. – Today, Congressman Kevin McCarthy announced the launch of a new iPhone App that allows constituents to access his office from their iPhones. Constituents will now be able to take advantage of all services available through McCarthy's website via the new iPhone App. The App can be downloaded here.

McCarthy issued the following statement:

"Technology is always advancing and Congress must keep up to stay connected to the American people. This iPhone App is a new way for constituents to share their ideas, stay updated on what is happening in Congress, and see how my office might be able to help. New technology will only continue to develop and increasing access to elected officials must be a priority for future Congresses. I will continue to stay at the forefront of finding new ways to listen and start a dialogue with our local residents."

Since arriving in Congress, McCarthy has been a leader in making Congress more accessible to the American people through new technology which includes the "WhipCast" Blackberry application and the America Speaking Out interactive website that helped produce the Pledge to America.
