McCarthy Applauds Ernest Conant Appointment as Bureau of Reclamation Mid-Pacific Regional Director

Congressman Kevin McCarthy released the following statement on the appointment of Bakersfield resident Ernest Conant as the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Mid-Pacific Regional Director:

"Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Burman could not have chosen a more qualified or experienced individual than Ernest Conant to serve as the Mid-Pacific Regional Director. Ernestwill draw on his vast experience working on Kern County and Central Valley water issues over the years to advance the important initiatives the Bureau of Reclamation is engaged in to enhance water supplies in our stateand region. I congratulate Ernest on his appointment, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role."
