McCarthy Announces Service Academy Forums

Bakersfield, CA – In September, Congressman Kevin McCarthy will organize three Service Academy Forums for students in the 22nd Congressional District who are interested in attending a U.S. Service Academy. 

 “I encourage all students interested in serving as an officer in our Armed Forces to attend one of the Academy Nights,” said McCarthy. “The Service Academy Forums provide interested students and parents an opportunity to learn about the application process, academy life, and career opportunities in the military.”

The forums include:

BAKERSFIELD

When:  Wednesday, September 12, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.

Where: Kern County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers – 1115 Truxtun Avenue

ATASCADERO

When:  Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.

Where:  Atascadero Unified School District Board Chambers – 5601 West Mall

LANCASTER

When:  Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.

Where:  Lancaster High School – Room 124
