Congressman McCarthy to Hold Small Business Forum in Bakersfield

Aug 14, 2009
Press Release

Bakersfield, CA – On Tuesday, August 25, 2009 Congressman McCarthy will hold a Small Business Forum in Bakersfield.

Congressman Kevin McCarthy issued the following statement:

“This year’s small business forum will focus on opportunities available to help promote and expand our small businesses, and provide tools and information to local entrepreneurs.  Local small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. Small businesses, which create over 70 percent of our nation’s jobs, can fuel our nation’s economic engine and create lasting jobs our communities need.  That’s why my priority is on job-creating policies in Congress that focus on helping local small business owners, not growing Washington spending.  Through smarter economic policies that focus on job creation, we can help overcome our current economic challenges and put America back on a successful path to help us and our children achieve the American Dream.”
