Bakersfield, CA – Next Wednesday, August 15, 2007, Congressman McCarthy and Kern County law enforcement officials on the front lines fighting gang violence will answer questions from Bakersfield residents in a telephone-town hall meeting.

“With new communications technology, I can call a number of households so they can participate in their own homes and ask our law enforcement officials and me about a top issue in our community – combating gangs that threaten our peace of mind,” said Congressman McCarthy.
