This week, Congressman Kevin McCarthy hosted a meeting with Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar to talk about pro-life issues. During the discussion, McCarthy expressed his concerns regarding California’s abortion mandate which he believes violates the Weldon Amendment. 

This evening, Congressman Kevin McCarthy urged his colleagues to support his amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which prioritizes repairs and modernization work at the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake following last week’s earthquakes. 
 

Yesterday, President Trump signed an executive order creating a White House Council on Eliminating Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Housing. The Council will be comprised of members from 8 federal agencies, and chaired by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson.
