Washington D.C. - Today, Congressman McCarthy released the following statement highlighting his efforts to move forward with an environmentally friendly comprehensive plan that includes deep ocean energy exploration, increased production of alternative energy sources, and action to drill now:
I am very concerned that the Central Valley’s air quality is routinely ranked among the nation’s worst. In order to improve our air quality, we have to know which pollutants are the most common and where they are coming from.
Like the gas lines of the 1970’s, today’s gas prices are causing us to dread the gas station. We pay over $4 per gallon, and gas prices continue to rise.
This Memorial Day, we will unite as a country and take time to reflect on America’s heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We will honor, admire, and pay tribute to the fallen at veterans cemeteries all across the nation.
